This is a question that I am being asked almost every day. People come up to me at networking events and Toastmasters meetings, and everyone seems to be interested in how my first book is progressing.
Well, there is good news! I am just 7,000 words from completing the first draft, and I have nearly decided on a title. Last week, I had a Skype chat with Phillip Khan-Panni, a former Toastmasters member who has published several books, and he gave me lots of great advice. This week I am meeting with someone who has offered to proof-read and edit the book for me, so that will be one step nearer to realising my dream.
I believe that by July of this year I will have a book to sell. I’d like to thank everyone for their support. I’ll be compiling a list of all the people who have supported and inspired me since I began writing late last year. Once I have the first book out there it will be time to start on the second one – watch this space!
Really looking forward to reading this Graham- looks like it will be ready for the holiday season or at least in time for Christmas
Hey Karen,
Great to hear from you – and thank you for the support. I would certainly hope to have the book published by July, as I have just returned from a meeting with my newly-appointed proof reader and copy editor!
I like your ability to concentrate Graham! I’m “all over the place at once”.
Hi Graham,
Put me down for a book when you’ve finished it! great to talk at Bourne4N. Looking forward to a 1-2-1 again.
Thank you Paul – it was great to talk to you too and I feel privileged that you shared your remarkable story with me. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
